It's my fav part of Trine right after Trine: Enchanted Edition for which I will always have a soft spot. Overall, this game is a must for anyone who liked the previous games. I don't need to tell you about the graphics, because they're gorgeous as usual. it will certainly make the game harder, but if you enjoy the challenge like me then go for it. That means you can finish the entire game without upgrading anything. You can also upgrade your heroes, but I've finished the game 100% without spending even a point. With all of our abilities we can now solve most of the puzzles in many ways, not just one. When it comes to the gameplay, it's basically Trine 2 but with some new mechanics, I love the fairy rope and dream shield the most. If you remember previous games, you'll have a smile on your face many times. I loved all the references to the previous adventures of our heroes. This time our heroes are summoned by the astral academy headmaster to take care of the problem. We have a new story involving a prince whose nightmares are overtaking every place he visits. that is a fact proven by something in Trine 4, but I won't reveal where. Storywise, Trine 4 takes place some years/months after Trine 3. Trine 4 returns to the 2d style of Trine 1 & 2. I have returned from my slumber and the first thing I played through was Trine 4. Switch to Pontius and block it with his shield. You may need to get up on either side to target his horn and earrings. ![]() On the right pull the leaf to the left to make the water drop down onto the sparkly area. Push the button on the left to let the water flow and grow the plant. There are sparkly points on the ground to the left and right and a revive orb to the top left. The picture on the top right shows the areas of the dragon that you need to attack, his earrings and horns. When you try to rescue Isabel, Rosabel will call her pet dragon. Move the picture aside and head up the stairs into the magic mirror. It contains the last collectible painting. This secret chest is not really a secret because it’s impossible to miss. Grapple back up the side of the cliff and enter into the tree house for the second chest. Inside this secret chest is a collectible poem called Rosabel’s Lament. You’ll need to break the barrier first as you fall with a fire arrow and then grapple onto the wooden platform. The first one is found by dropping off the cliff to the left. While there aren’t any monsters or experience points in this level there still are two secret chests to find. The heroes must break the spell by defeating Rosabel. All of the boss fights have been easy compared to what you’re about to face, a battle with a real dragon! Isabel is still caught in a sleep spell. ![]()
